POWERS & ABILITIES: Chei has proficient kendo skills and can take down opponents if need be. He isn't someone who actively goes out looking for fights. In fact, he's someone who will stop fights by taking both parties down and expressing disappointment in their behaviors over something stupid that can be solved through talking.

PERSONALITY: Chei is interested in music being good at guitar. While he isn't someone who sings, he has the guitar skills that would make him a noticeable asset to any group looking for a guitarist. He frequently posts videos on YouTube of himself playing guitar pieces of current songs and how he's able to incorporate the song into guitar. He's been getting more and more noticed by famous music-related YouTubers. Which he's happy about and is considering going full-time with it after high school. Hoping for better recognition. Aside from music, he's also good at kendo as well. Though he only uses it to break up the fights that tend to happen at Domino High frequently, and chastising others for their behaviors.

Outside of these things, Chei is a very quiet individual. Someone who constantly questions his own choices and actions. It's also why he connected so well with Karmen Ada as a friend. True, he had his girlfriend, Terujo, who was the one who approached him to go out with her and not the other way around. To him, she was fine, for the most part, but he did find her distrust of him troubling. He wasn't allowed to hang out or be partnered with other female peers. This meant he could only be friends with other guys. He didn't have anything against having male friends, but he wasn't someone who would cheat on the person he was dating. He committed to being faithful to who he is with.

This stressed him out and made things difficult for him when it came to what he wanted to do once he graduated. He was choosing between pursuing music or becoming a teacher. Terujo wanted him to pursue music and was strongly against him becoming a low-class teacher. This was a wake-up call for Chei to figure out that Terujo didn't care about what he wanted and broke up with her. Granted, he felt guilty about doing so, but he wanted to be honest with himself and with Terujo. He didn't love her.

APPEARANCE: Chei I & Chei II

HISTORY: Chei Tagawa is a senior at Domino High School. He enjoys hanging out with his friends and Jasmine and her friends. He mostly likes to hang around Karmen Ada. Chei already has a girlfriend named Terujo Chino, but feels uneasy being around her because of her distrust of him being around other girls. Whether willingly or unwillingly. He was a quiet guy who enjoyed music, playing his guitar, and kendo. He also didn't like it when students would fight and cause problems around the school. He was confident during those situations to take down the individuals involved in the fights, but when it comes to his life and what he wants to do, Chei frequently questions his choices. He began to have a better understanding of what he was feeling when he became friends with Karmen.

She was only partially similar to his girlfriend, Terujo Chino, but the only difference was that she was only loud when she felt she had be, and she wasn't telling people they couldn't do what it was they wanted. In fact, she encouraged him to figure out what it is he wanted to do, regardless of what others wanted him to do. It is his life and not theirs. If he wanted to pursue music, nobody could stop him from doing that. If he wanted to be a teacher, the same thing. He appreciated that from her. So, when he broke up with Terujo, who basically wanted him to ONLY pursue music and nothing else, he admitted to her that he didn't love her and that he was sorry. Chei felt guilty for breaking up with her and knew she would be angry and think badly of him, but he didn't care.

He chose to leave and pursue Karmen instead. However, Karmen told him that it's tacky to date someone who just got out of a relationship. Instead, she wanted to wait until after they both graduated. If he was still interested in her by then, she'd go out with him. Chei agreed to it, and at the end of the story, he and Karmen make their relationship official.
