Choie is related to the Mazaki family. She is Anzu and Kuri cousin. Her Aunt’'s name is Remi, Anzu's mother. Choie has had it hard with her mother dying and her father not being found and on top of that, being stuck in a living situation she never wanted to be in. She doesn’'t mind hanging around her little cousin Kuri but when it comes to her cousin Anzu, she hates her with a passion. She can’'t stand the fact that Anzu wants to break up her friend Yuugi's relationship with the girlfriend that he already has. And she'’s told her more than once to let him go and find someone else but Anzu won'’t listen to her so she stopped trying to give her advice.

Then she became friends with Sakura Motou. More than friends actually, of course no one knew until Choie died later on in the story from Leukemia.
