Maura was a baby girl that was found on the streets by a woman who desperately wanted children but couldn’t have any of her own. The woman’s name was Kaoru Kiyoko. Once taken in, they named her Maura and she was loved and cared for like any normal loving family should care for a child but as she got older, they had to tell her the truth that she was not their real child and where she was really found. But she soon began to realize that not only was she not their child but she had a special gift of her own that she was afraid to tell anyone about, her powers as a fairy. Maura didn’t know what to do and neither did her parents until one day she was visited by a girl that was just like her. Her name was Misa Felton. She was able to fly, able to do magic with her powers and Maura wanted to learn how to use her own. So her parents let her make the decision on her own to go with Misa to learn to train and perfect her powers as much as she could but also keep them a secret from everyone else.
But she felt that she couldn’t when she fell in love with Mokuba Kaiba. She loved everything about him because she felt that both of them were one in the same. Alone and confused about where they belong in this world. She didn’t care that he had money and was rich. Money didn’t mean anything to Maura. She just wanted to love him. So she told him what she was and thinking that he’d reject her, he consoled her and promised that he would never tell anyone for as long as he lived. But that all changed when their relationship was broken off. Soon after that, she began to doubt that no one else would love her, the way Mokuba did and years later, her parents were finally able to have children of their own through medical research and help. She was glad to see her parents happy and she was also happy back then to know if she was going to have a brother or sister. But these days, Maura only wants to know where she came from, why she has powers, and who her real parents are. Those are answers she’ll have to find out on her own.
