SPECIES: Human

OCCUPATION: Previous heir of Kaiba Corp
RANK: Domino Citizen/Duelist
IS THIS CHARACTER AN NPC?: Yes, he only appears in the Virtual World Arc of the story.
PERSONALITY: Noah is collected, polite and quite respectful to those he does not bear grudge against, speaking in a formal, business-like tone, though he is also arrogant and smug and demonstrates creepy un-childlike behavior. He is as intelligent as Seto, as evidenced by his ability to devise highly elaborate weaponry and machinery, or to hack his way into any kind of computer. Since his mind is linked to the virtual world, he always knows everything that happens in it. Due to having been extremely sheltered and doted upon as a child, he is pretty immature, being used to having all his whims answered and dislikes when things do not go his way. Seto notes that, being stuck as a child for all these years, he never had a chance to mature out of his spoiled demeanor, hence his childish tantrums and obsession with always being in charge.
Although he boasts about his god-like control over the virtual world, stating that all of the information he got from computers all over the world made him transcend humanity, it is pretty clear that he despises the shallow travesty of reality he is stuck in, and wants to escape to the real world, no matter the cost. It is made quite clear that behind his arrogance and hatred lies a scared child desperate to return to any semblance of normalcy, lashing out years of pent-up frustration from his gilded prison at his adoptive brothers. Noah regards himself as the rightful heir of the Kaiba Corp and treats Seto and Mokuba with contempt and jealousy. However, the reason for his hatred for them is that they took the place that was his own while he was left in a hapless state, barred from both a normal life and from the afterlife.
He holds them responsible for his father's loss of interest in him, although in reality, the three of them were nothing but assets to use or discard in Gozaburo's eyes. Noah looks up to his father and craves his acknowledgement, desperately trying to prove his worth as an heir. He believes himself superior to his adoptive brothers, strives to prove it to them and to the world by defeating them, and envies their extremely close sibling bond, doing all that he can to destroy it and going as far as brainwashing Mokuba to take it for him. The pain of being abandoned by his father and the loneliness of his years in the virtual world are the motivations for all he does. It is the distress of being called worthless by his father that first makes him rage quit the Virtual World and set its destruction, then to turn his back on Gozaburo.
Especially, when he discovered that his father divorced his mother after his death and then fell in love with another woman named Diane Tsukino, who was there where it was revealed that Gozaburo had another child with that woman. A daughter named Ruka Kaiba, but her whereabouts aren't revealed in the story.

Vessel of IllusionAPPEARANCE: Noah's usual outfit consists of a white long-sleeved jacket with purple markings, white shorts, navy blue knee socks, and brown loafers. He has green and teal hair, blue eyes, and fair skin.
HISTORY: Noa is Gozaburo's real son and heir to Kaiba Corporation. The only problem is that he's dead. He died at the age of twelve when he had a run-in with a truck. When Noa died, his father trapped his soul/memory in a supercomputer and supposedly raised Seto and Mokuba as his sons. Well, Noa went crazy, wanting to destroy the human race, so Gozaburo tossed the supercomputer in the ocean. The Big 5 Kaiba Corp executives found the computer to wake up Noa. They want him to take over Kaiba Corp after they trap Seto and Mokuba's consciences in a virtual game.
However, these plans fail. The Big 5 fail to defeat Seto and the others, who got dragged into the virtual world along with him. While Noa chastises the executives for cheating, he isn't above using such tactics himself if it means defeating Seto and claiming his body to reclaim Kaiba Corp as the rightful heir. However, what Noa was unaware of was that his father divorced his mother after his death and had another biological child with a woman named Diane Tsukino. When Gozaburo revealed this to everyone, Noa was stunned. He had a younger sibling who was out there, but the whereabouts of Noa's sibling are unknown. Only the name of the child was revealed: a little girl named Ruka Kaiba.
He saw how soft his father was with Diane in wanting him to join her, but the woman turned him down, realizing what kind of person he is. She wanted to help everyone escape the virtual world. Noa also realized that his father cared little about him and was willing to throw him away when he failed to take down Seto and Yuugi, along with his friends. He decided to help them escape. While Noa briefly escaped through Mokuba's body temporarily, he returned his own mind to the virtual world to stop his father. As everyone else hurried to escape, Noa thanked Mokuba for showing him true friendship and brotherhood, bade him farewell, and sent him away to safety along with Yuugi and the others. With Noa unable to stop the explosion, Noa's and Gozaburo's minds were destroyed because Noa had made sure to keep Gozaburo from escaping into the net by binding himself with his father.
After this, Noah was heard by Mokuba telling him goodbye. Noa was finally able to accept the fact that he had died long ago, unlike his father.
