PERSONALITY: Shizuka doesn't hesitate to admit that she loves her older brother Jonouchi and likes being around him whenever she can see him. If it hadn't been for their parents deciding to get a divorce, she'd be able to, but she is content with just being able to see him whenever she can afford it or when he sends her gifts on holidays and her birthday. She's grateful to her brother for his hard work in competing in the Duelist Kingdom tournament, so he could win the prize money to pay for her operation. There is nothing that she can give him that would show just how much she appreciates this,s but she'll be happy knowing that one day she'll be able to see her brother without any trouble at all. Shizuka is a very kind and gentle person, easy to make friends with, and rarely gets upset about anything, as she believes in working things out and prefers to avoid conflict. So she is a very easy person to make friends with. Not that she minds, for she loves making friends with people. On top of that, she enjoys learning new things. An example of this is that Jonouchi knows how to play the game of Duel Monsters, and Shizuka wishes to learn how to play it as well. There aren't many that play the game at her school, but this isn't stopping her from wanting to learn. She's a very helpful person and loves to give friendly advice to those around her when she feels they need a pick-me-up.

While Shizuka is sweet, she's also too trusting, making her naïve to the intentions of people who approach her. This can allow her to be easily taken advantage of, and/or she'll believe anything that she's told by that person. With her sight deteriorating as it is, she has a lot of people telling her what could happen if she went through with the surgery. That it may not work, it's dangerous, and not to do it. These things scare her because she doesn't wish to be kept from the possibility of seeing again. She's tired of being in so much pain that she's willing to try anything if it means ending it and not losing her sight because of it. This also causes her to be a very dependent girl. She relies too much on others, including her brother, to help her get through everything because she doesn't know how to handle some things herself. It is something she is trying to grow out of because she wishes to show her brother that she can take care of herself, but she's young and will still have her moments of needing her brother. Shizuka also doesn't like dishonest people, but at the same time, it is not as if she can tell if they're lying to her or not. But upon finding out, she won't be able to trust them, yet unable to bring herself to hate them. That includes people who are just plain heartless and mean, as well as cruel to everyone they come into contact with.

APPEARANCE: Shizuka is 5'2'' with light Brown auburn hair that she always wears down, but has been known to occasionally style it and gentle, dull olive green eyes. Her casual attire consists of blue shorts and long white socks with Blue sneakers. Her top is a sleeveless pink and white shirt with a high collar that is worn on top of a short-sleeved yellow shirt. She has been known to wear other types of clothing, such as dresses, skirts, and sometimes pants with sandals or sneakers. When she was in the hospital, she wore a pair of pink pajamas. Attending Seinan, she wears their uniform which consists of a cream short sleeved dress with light gray trimming above the hem and the dress itself stops above the knees, a long sleeved light gray jacket with white trimmings in different areas of it, a white sailor v-neck collar with blue trimmings with a bright red bow underneath it, she also wears black dress socks and brown suede shoes.

HISTORY: Shizuka is Jonouchi's younger sister. She had very bad eyesight, and the operation to fix it cost $3 million. Jonouchi got the cash from Yuugi when Yuugi won the Duelist Kingdom Tournament. Shizuka and Jonouchi were separated when they were little kids. Jonouchi's mom took Shizuka and remarried someone else while Jonouchi stayed with his father. Shizuka has always believed in her big brother, and Jonouchi has never let her down.
