Usagi is definitely not who you would expect to be the leader of the Sailor Scouts. She's a little clumsy, lazy, carefree, & definitely more interested in games, & dreaming about boys (like the dashing Tuxedo Kamen), than fighting evil. But Usagi is very loyal to her friends, & will do anything to help them. Like Sailor Venus, Usagi has a special guardian as well, a talking cat named Luna. As Sailor Moon, she is a reluctant hero, & doesn't totally understand her powers. Usagi is the Moon Princess (Princess Serenity), & Sailor Moon. She's the leader of the Sailor Senshi, which has caused some friction between the scouts, since she's not the toughest. She is also the mother of Chibiusa is the future and she has a twin sister named Jasmine who is Sailor Star Moon (Princess Atinako).

Now, about her part in the story, her and Jasmine and the rest of the Senshi have to defeat a new enemy by the name of Galaxia. Galaxia had a daughter years ago by the name of Catora but Catora was freed from the evil that was controlling her thanks to both of the sisters. Of course, telling Galaxia that her daughter was dead was the biggest mistake they ever made. And now, they’re living in Domino City, Japan where her sister’s boyfriend lives and that’s when things went into hell in a hand basket.

Like Usagi, her sister was also destined to have a child in the future with her boyfriend but that all changed when she fell in love with the multi-billionaire, Seto Kaiba. And Usagi was only thinking of her sister’s well being, tried to tell Jasmine that if she didn’t get back together with Yuugi (her boyfriend), Sakura (Jasmine and Yuugi’s daughter in the future) will not be born. So by not siding with her sister, she slowly began losing contact with her. But in the end, Usagi did eventually come around.
